I was born and raised in Ethiopia, a country rich in culture and history. Growing up, I experienced the vibrant traditions and values that shaped my character and resiliece. My journey took a significant turn when I moved to the United States over 20 years ago, a transition that was both challenging and rewarding.
My first job in the USA paid me just $5 an hour. It was a humble beginning, but it taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Determined to build a better future, I invested in my education, which became the cornerstone of my career.
I pursued and obtained multiple degrees:
- Degree in Accounting: This foundation allowed me to understand the intricacies of financial management and laid the groundwork for my future endeavors.

Currently, I am the Technology Procurement Manager for a fire and safety company. This role involves managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that our company has the best technological resources to operate efficiently. It is a position that requires strategic thinking, meticulous planning, and a deep understanding of the industry.
Throughout my life, I have faced numerous obstacles and challenges. However, I am proud of my ability to remain consistent and never give up on my goals. This resilience has been a driving force behind my achievements and growth.
